The Event

Presented by the U.S. Air Force and the men and women serving their country from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Aviation Nation 2008 will be a spectacular aerial event. Aviation Nation is one of the most diverse, entertaining and well run air shows in America. It is the premier air show of the Air Force and one of the largest aviation events in North America.

The Saturday and Sunday air show event is free to the public.

Live from Las Vegas

Las Vegas officially endorses and supports Aviation Nation through Las Vegas Events and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Thunderbirds

Las Vegas’ own U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds" will return as the featured aerial demonstration in their homecoming show and last public show of the season. Since 1953 the Thunderbirds have thrilled millions of air show fans around the world.

The Best in Aviation

Air show fans will see multiple military flying demonstrations, Warbirds spanning the history of the Air Force and hundreds of one-of-a-kind static displays. The Air Force will showcase its current inventory of frontline fighters, bombers and transports, including the F-22A, America’s 21st century fighter.

Most Publicized Air Show in America

Thanks to endorsement and sponsorship by Las Vegas, Aviation Nation was the most publicized air show in America in 2007 with over $1,000,000. in guaranteed media reaching regional, national and international audiences through an extensive advertising and promotions program.

Aviation Nation has one of the most visited web sites in the North American air show industry. The website received 17,679,202 hits and over 1.4 million pages served in 2007. Over 69,000 users visited the website during the 30 days prior to the event.

National Awards

Aviation Nation was awarded the 2006 Dick Schram Memorial Community Relations Award by the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS). The Dick Schram Award was established in 1988 to recognize the efforts of military air shows to use their events to improve community relations.

Since its inception in 2002, Aviation Nation has received more national and international awards for excellence in the air show and entertainment industries than any other air show in North America.
