Summary
Air Force air
shows are valuable community events that increase
public awareness and understanding of the armed
forces and the mission, policies and programs of
the United States Air Force. Military air shows
support recruiting by inspiring patriotism and
encouraging young men and women to serve in the
military.
Aviation Nation is
an official Air Force air show occurring annually
at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Aviation Nation
2008 is scheduled to occur November 08 - 09.
About the
Aviation Nation Foundation
The Aviation
Nation Foundation (ANF) is a 501 (c) (3)
non-profit, civilian organization with the sole
mission of promoting the importance of American
air and space power and the vital role of the men
and women serving in the United States Air Force.
ANF assists the Air Force in organizing and
producing the Aviation Nation Air Show at Nellis
AFB, Nevada. Since 2002
ANF has won 40 national and international
marketing, media and business development awards
for work associated with the Aviation Nation Air
Show – more than any other air show in North
America during this time period. The Foundation
is funded by contributions from public, private
and civic organizations desiring to support the
Air Force and the men and women serving in our
military. ANF receives no government funding and
does not intend to imply endorsement by the
government or the Air Force.
The Aviation
Nation Executive Committee is charged by the Air
Warfare Center Commander to oversee and monitor
all aspects of the event. ANF coordinates all
Partnership Agreements with the Executive
Committee to assure compliance with public law,
Air Force directives and Command guidance.
Executive Committee oversight of ANF activities
ensures that all donations compliment the theme
of the air show while supporting Air Force
objectives for hosting the event.
Since inception of
the Aviation Nation air show in 2002, ANF has
been recognized by the appropriate Commanders at
Nellis Air Force Base to assist with organizing,
planning, developing, promoting and executing the
event. ANF accepts donations from individuals and
organizations (Partners) committed to supporting
the air show and the Air Force, then donates
support and services to the event and its
associated causes, programs and activities. The
Air Force, Nellis Air Force Base and the
community benefit from this relationship.
ANF does not
intend to imply formal endorsement of the Air
Force or any government organization. By law,
Nellis Air Force Base, the Air Force or the
Federal government can not endorse any partner or
organization supporting Aviation Nation.
