To Produce Air & Space Leaders Symposium
Deal Links World’s Largest Aviation
Multimedia Information Services Provider with Capstone event of
U.S. Air Force’s 60th Anniversary Celebration
LAS VEGAS – Aviation Week, the largest
multimedia information and services provider to the global
aviation, aerospace and defense industries, announced today an
agreement with the Aviation Nation Foundation (ANF) to co-host a
two-day Air & Space Leaders Symposium to coincide with the
capstone event of the U.S. Air Force’s 60th Anniversary
Heritage to Horizons celebration. The event will be held at
the Wynn Las Vegas, Nov. 7-8, 2007.
In its third year, the symposium, which is
held annually in conjunction with Aviation Nation — the Nellis
Air Force Base-Las Vegas Air Show, includes forums, keynote
addresses and exhibits. The mission of the symposium is to bring
senior military and industry leaders together in combined forums
to discuss a variety of issues affecting American airpower. This
year, the symposium also coincides with an Air Force Heritage
Week. Headquarters, U.S. Air Force designated Las Vegas as one
of two locations to host such an event in 2007. The commemorative week is scheduled to include numerous additional
activities and other community events.
“Aviation Nation is the most attended and
supported defense and aerospace air show in North America by
leading aerospace companies, and support from this industry is
expected to double in 2007,” said Bob Avery, ANF chairman. “Aviation
Week has been a proud supporter of ANF and the Aviation
Nation Air Show since 2003 and we are excited to have the
91-year expertise of the world’s most-respected aviation,
aerospace and defense information source in the development of
the Air & Space Leaders Symposium in 2007.”
AVIATION WEEK
Recognized as the industry leader in
organizing and producing major aerospace conferences and
exhibitions around the globe, Aviation Week will serve in an executive advisory role for
planning production, and industry participation. This role will
also include promotion of the symposium and serving as a forum
moderator. In addition, Aviation Week will publish a
forward - looking Air Force 60th anniversary supplement in
the September 17 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology,
with extended distribution at the Symposium and Aviation Nation.
“ANF has assisted the U.S. Air Force in
building Aviation Nation into an exciting, innovative event with
strong public and educational outreach, and has increased
aerospace involvement and participation every year,” said Tom
Henricks, President, Aviation Week. “We’re looking
forward to co-presenting this symposium and growing it into one
of the premier events on the air and space conference and
exhibition circuit.”
